Wide around the world there rang
the sounds of mercy from the heaven-skies.
Shepherds flocked and people gawked
and crowds saw love distilled before their eyes.
Across the city of the king
the sounds of judgement ripped the clouds apart.
People mocked and Satan stalked
as Life was deathed with Haven’s stricken cries.
Across the world, a terror-guilt:
the sky a pitch of darkness so profound
that sinners, shocked, no longer talked
as all creation shook before our lies.
Wide the tension in the air
as heaven’s drama spoke its silent lines.
Time had knocked, the door was locked,
and hope lay resting soon to wake and rise.
