In little spits of little winds
that spiral down the stairs
of drifting drafts and gentle spins
it arcs with grace and airs.
–
I’d have thought a leaf imbued
with green for all to see,
now dyed before a public view
would feel…indecently.
–
But here it wafts on gentle sound
a leaf adrift in air–
that carries beauty to the ground–
content to leave with flair.
