Time pushed us forward,
and we rode the world
into another sunset—
another dampening of the lights,
another sharpening of blue overhead,
another wandering of cumulus puffs
edged in liquid fire—
like some breathing landscape
set there long ago,
waiting—just for us—
today.
“Another wandering of cumulus puffs
edged in liquid fire–”
Very good line. Love the poem.

Thanks! “Cumulus puffs” especially reminded me of something you might write. 🙂

It does sound kind of like me, lol. What’s crazy is when I look over past poems and don’t quite know which of us wrote them.
