Turbulent and troubled waters,
inky black the swelling ocean:
bobbing up and chopping downwards
as the sunlight sneaks away.
Far beyond the water hillocks
endless wastes of dark and deepness
beckon to the weary swimmer
etiolate of warming rays.
–
Down beneath the dipping wave splash
thousand single fishes swiggle
swept along by bubble currents
schools of grey-spark in the gloom.
Turtles trundle out from homeward
sea slugs hug the rugged coral.
All the teeming blue-light life forms
calm beneath relaxing waves
Love how you dive into the ocean imagery here, its darkness and the sunlight (or lack of it) at different depths. Beautifully penned!

Thank you! Visiting my friend in Hawaii this week, and I have been snorkeling numerous times now. So cool.
