The softened light that spills into the air,
The scent of coffee rising from your cup
Will fade away as we unlock our minds
To roam together in the air between—
Invisible until our thoughts emerge
Like building stones upon each other laid.
We watch the walls jump up to greet the sky.
We run the halls as quick as they appear
And chase the forming staircases that fly
Past doors to chambers you or I have made.
I wonder as the hallways twist and merge—
Surprising ways that we’d have never seen
Alone. And at the end our journey finds
A guilded, vast cathedral looking up
To dazzling heights I never knew were there.
