They swim in briny shiny wetness
catching sun-glint on their chrome,
black and white, partitioned thunder
glory-fear of ocean’s dome.
–
Spray of droplets, splashing wave-wash
acro-leap of practiced skill.
Arc of power, grace and wonder
whapping back to sea with thrill.
–
Wakes of foaming in the gloaming–
orcas trailing toward the west;
water gleaming, in the waning
as the sun sinks to its rest.
