Frumpish, glummy, deep the dark—looming in decline.

Bold the figure challenging: cheerful, lethe, sublime.

Gilded light shines on his back, a warming, bellished charm

that spills like courage past his head, and wards him from all harm.

But deeply still the longsome gloom lies grensome here, and stark,

and only light can burn it out—a flaming fire spark.
