He wars with words, and with His words

he silences the scholars.

He speaks the word, and single words

now open wide the scriptures

Disproving all the masters

He tells the truth, and all His truth

like tested steel is ringing.

Sharp as ancient, fresh as dawn

Truly, truly spoken

A peasant man 

From Galilee

Rescuing the people.

He comes in crowds that crowd around

to cast their coats before him.

He comes the blessed of the Lord,

to crowd men to His kingdom.

A promised Christ

From Bethlehem

Come to claim the nations.
