A Hymn to My Beloved

Lord, who am I that You should call

and set Your love on me?

A rebel ruined by the fall,

now by Your grace set free.

CHORUS

But we will bless the Lord our God

Who shed His precious blood.

From this time forth, for ever more,

we’ll praise You and adore.

My soul was slipping into death,

and yet I fled the light.

You touched my eyes and, with Your breath,

spoke truth and gave me sight.

I felt the heavy cords of guilt

break at Your powerful word.

I saw the place Your blood was spilt

and owned You King and Lord.

CHORUS

But we will bless the Lord our God

who shed His precious blood.

From This time forth, for ever more,

we’ll praise You and adore.

You satisfy my hungry soul

and fill me with Your love:

the things that make my spirit whole

and turn my eyes above.
